Working alongside The Resonance Centre in Clayton, which offers health and wellness classes, the community were keen to develop a food project that could be incorporated into the services provided by the centre.
Utilising a previously constructed growing structure, the community participants worked towards converting this into a functional food project. The resulting design included a community seedling bank to the left hand side to produce seedlings for the local community, a high-level green house section, and to the right hand side a market stall that also acted as a potting shed.
The project is dubbed the ‘Wonderwall’ due to its proximity to the Manchester City football stadium, which Noel and Liam Gallagher visit regularly.
